Deu na BBC Internacional: A Corte Suprema dos Estados Unidos acabou de decidir (5x3), que os julgamentos militares iniciados pela administração Bush são ilegais tanto sob as leis americanas quanto pela Convenção de Genebra. Além de inúmeras outras implicações, esta decisão contrária a Bush levará ao desmantelamento da Prisão da Baía de Guantánamo e porá um fim ao suplício dos 440 prisioneiros não americanos que lá estavam, até agora, sem nenhum amparo legal. Uma vitória da civilização.

Fresh from the BBC: The United States Supreme Court has just ruled, in a split decision (5 to 3), that the military trials began by the Bush administration are illegal both under American law and the Geneva Convention. Besides the innumerable other implications, this decision contrary to Bush will lead to the dismantling of the Guantanamo Bay Prison and will put an end to the suffering of the 440 foreign prisioners who were there, till now, without any legal support. A victory of civilization.
