Just reflections...
Continuo pensando sobre essa guerra. Qual a maneira mais razoável e expedita para resolver o problema? Uma possibilidade é o cumprimento das leis que regulam o encarceramento de prisioneiros. Não precisa nem ser o Código Penal não. Bastava, por exemplo, aplicar os dois primeiros parágrafos do segundo artigo do Código de Proteção aos Animais do Estado de São Paulo:
"Artigo 2º- É vedado:
I - ofender ou agredir fisicamente os animais, sujeitando-os a qualquer tipo de experiência, prática ou atividade capaz de causar-lhes sofrimento ou dano, bem como as que provoquem condições inaceitáveis de existência;
II - manter animais em local desprovido de asseio ou que lhes impeça a movimentação, o descanso ou os privem de ar e luminosidade;"
Foi o uso que fez o grande Sobral Pinto, do equivalente em vigor na década de trinta, para conseguir a libertação de Luis Carlos Prestes. Precisamos dar condições de vida dignas aos prisioneiros. É o absolutamente mínimo. Mas paramos de falar de tortura, por exemplo, quando veio a anistia em 1979. Para os pobres o pau continuou e continua a comer.

O que fazer?
Tem um pessoal aí pregando o voto nulo. Mas precisaria de muita organização para fazer um protesto dessa natureza visível. Mesmo assim, seria apenas simbólico.
Talvez desobediência civil. O estado bananoso escondeu muitos impostos dentro dos preços. Mas se houvesse massa crítica, só o não pagamento dos impostos diretos daria uma bela acordada nos que governam. Os três poderes da república seriam afetados. Um pouco como cortar a mesada como castigo. Afinal, muito da porcaria que assistimos é paga com esse dinheiro. Não esquecer que a luta pelos direitos civis nos Estados Unidos começou com um boicote ao transporte público em uma cidade minúscula no estado do Alabama.

I continue to think about this war. What is the most reasonable and expeditious way to solve the problem? A possibility is the application of the laws regulating the incarceration of prisoners. It doesn't even have to be the Penal Code. It would suffice, for example, to enforce the two first paragraphs of the second article of the Code of Animal Protection of the State of São Paulo:
Article 2- It is forbidden:
I - to offend or hit physically the animals, subjecting them to any type of experience, practice or activity liable to cause them suffering or damage, as well as the ones provoking unacceptable conditions of existence;
II - keep animals in locations devoid of cleanliness or that prevent them from moving, resting or that keep them without air and light;"
Article 2- It is forbidden:
I - to offend or hit physically the animals, subjecting them to any type of experience, practice or activity liable to cause them suffering or damage, as well as the ones provoking unacceptable conditions of existence;
II - keep animals in locations devoid of cleanliness or that prevent them from moving, resting or that keep them without air and light;"
This was the use the great Sobral Pinto gave to the equivalent in force in the thirties to obtain the freedom of Luis Carlos Prestes. We must provide the prisoners with decent living conditions. This is the absolute minimum. But we stopped talking about torture, for example, when of the general amnesty of 1979. For the poor things continued and continue to be extremely harsh.

But if there was critical mass, just the non payment of direct taxes would send a strong wake up call to the ones ruling us. The three powers of the republic would be affected. A little like cutting an allowance as punishment. After all, much of the dirt we see is paid with this money. Not to forget that the struggle for civil rights in the US began with a boycott of public transportation in a tiny little city in the state of Alabama.
