O livro Pós Guerra, Ed. Objetiva, 880 páginas, de Tony Judt e tradução de José Roberto O'Shea, é um dos livros de história mais importantes para se ler hoje em dia. Fornece uma quantidade imensa de informações fascinantes e preciosas sobre a devastação provocada pela II Guerra e de como a Europa se recuperou dela.
Também dá uma idéia muito precisa de como as coisas se passaram no leste europeu, com dados só recentemente colocados à disposição de historiadores. É fundamental para se entender porque o mundo em que vivemos hoje é como é.
Além disso, é primorosamente bem escrito e traduzido.

Os três vídeos abaixo mostram a história do Muro de Berlim, a cidade como era em 1936 e como ficou depois da guerra em 1945.

The book Post War, Penguin Books, 933 pages, by Tony Judt, is one os the most important history books to be read nowadays. It supplies a wealth of precious and fascinating information on the devastation provoked by WW II and of how Europe recovered from it.
It also gives a very precise idea of how things happened in eastern Europe, with data only recently made available to historians. It is essential to understand why the world we live in today is the way it is.
Besides that, it is remarkably well written.

The three videos below show the history of the Berlin Wall, the city as it was in 1936 and how it stood after the war in 1945.
